Anchored Style was founded in 2010 by Lauren Siktberg, an avid water enthusiast and fashion lover. As a Personal Stylist for both male and female clients, Lauren found herself searching for a brand that would reflect the classic and comfortable look that both she and her clients craved. Surprisingly, the superior quality brand with timeless, clean lines and a bit of an edge seemed to be missing from the apparel market.
Remembering the words of Mark Twain, to “Throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails,” Lauren decided that it was time to follow her heart and design the brand she’d been envisioning.
The next seven months Lauren took the words of Twain to heart. She explored, dreamed, discovered, and worked her tail off. She worked day and night throwing herself into researching, planning, and designing. She reached out to local sailors, kite-boarders, surfers, anglers, beach enthusiasts, and all-around preppy’s for input and inspiration. She poured her passion, integrity, determination and creativity into the designs and finally had the “surfer-prep” style she envisioned. Anchored Style has set sail and soon to be docking in a harbor near you.
